Having survived the heat and hardships of the Mojave; I can tell you desert living is no easy journey. Like a desert fox, I have sometimes lived under harsh self-imposed conditions for basic survival. The lizards and coyotes became my best friends, and I began to transform with them. My recent album, “Test Your Taste Buds”, cover artwork is a tribute to and for my lizard friends that inspire the spirit to move.
With the use of samples and sound files, I try to build waves of sound, an electro pop funk wave. I paint with sound, a canvas on which to drop funky vibes and spiritual rhythms, rockin the performance and the moment with pulsing dance moves.
In 2004, I produced my first mini disc, “Up”. 2004 was a presidential election year in the United States and my motivation was to engage listeners in the political democratic process. I urged everyone who rocked to my music to get "Up" and vote.
In 2006, I teamed up with the funk/rock band "Under the Radar" in Santa Cruz, California; and performed with them while singing and showcasing my original songs.
On a mission for more education, justice and passionate for fun, I enrolled at the University of California-Santa Cruz, California, (UCSC), in 2006-2008. Community Studies was my major while I studied extensively in the UCSC Electronic Music Lab. I gained skills needed to produce my first complete LP / CD, “Test Your Taste Buds”.
My desert and classroom experiences resulted in inspiration for such tunes as “Run For Your Life” and “The Cover Up”. These songs were born out of my commitment to stop the aerial spraying over California. (“You got your mojo, keep on your toes go, they’re behind you breaking rules making new laws,” ) as it goes in part.
While singing amongst the snakes and lizards, I wrote “Don’t Doubt It.” I believed I would come out of the intense survival mode to a higher consciousness, resulting in my conclusion that, “You can do anything you set your mind to; it’s not just for the few.”

Thanks to a colleague who reminded me about Tunecore that I heard about more than a year ago. Now I am ready to upload and look forward to the response I receive on internet radio. It's been one of my goals to be heard through that medium.
